The Carolina Miracle League has been teaching baseball to several generations and recently began offering softball for girls. Over the past 15 years, more than 800 participants have played baseball through the Carolina Miracle League. The Carolina Miracle League provides disabled children with an opportunity to play baseball in its purest form. Each player is assigned “friends” who help them hit the ball and “run” through the bases.
Rates have had to increase due to the rising costs of items necessary for the league's operation. To accommodate these children, a specially equipped field called “Miracle Park” was built in Boiling Springs, South Carolina.
